Laser ignition: keeping up with the times.

The VEC 91, the world’s first mass-produced hunting rifle for ammunition with combustible casings, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016. Back then, the problem was the power supply, which was provided by a zinc/carbon battery.

The laser can ignite both cartridges with cases and cartridges without cases, making it the ideal link between the two systems.
